Do you have FLOSS US speakers we could invite for SFK to be held in April. Ideas are welcome. Ideally we would involve them in training and keep them longer in Kosovo.

Tentative April 2019, yes.
It’s hard to plan US speakers and we might apply for special funding for them, that’s why are we especially interested in US speakers for now.
You are welcome to propose speakers from Europe as well. One thing, topics are not defined yet but if we love the speaker we might take them anyways. We will likely not be possible to fund those out of Europe so those would be eligible only if they cover themselves.

For speakers from some European countries the cost is very low, e.g.
people in the UK can use the Wizzair flight from Luton and people in
Dublin can use a Ryanair flight from Dublin to Podgorica. Many
potential speakers in Europe can request funding from free software
organizations too, usually they need about 2-3 months notice that their
talk is accepted so they can request leave from their employer, get
travel funds approved and get the flights at lowest prices.
So if the event will be in April, it would be good to start advertising
soon and send confirmation emails to some speakers in December or early
January.
