[plots-nyc] Looking for home for DIY book scanners (fwd)

Does anyone want a book scanner?

I can get it to you in September or October.

(Either way, I'm also delivering IXUS 160 cameras to Prishtina
Hackerspace for its book scanner constructions.)

Hey folks,

We have some very cool hand-crafted book scanners that I've been storing in
Pfizer since R.M.O. hosted a memorial Aaron Schwartz hackathon here a
couple years ago. they aren't getting used here, and we have so many 3d
printers and brainwave-reading headgears that we're out of room.

I'm thinking about Bronwen as a hacker-librarian -- can i give these to
your space at SVA? Also Jeremy -- does Team Wikipedia have a need/interest
here?
Anyone else have a good idea for them?

They have to be gone by next week Thursday.

Hey Tom, that would be awesome!

We will be forever grateful!

Hi Tom,

Tanks for offering this. There is a book scanner at the hackerspace in Belgrade at the moment, but it belongs to another organization. So we do need that equipment.

Hey Tom,

I’m building a couple of booksanners at Prishtina Hackerspace. What bookscanner would you bring?

@Elio & @Redon: if you guys want to build a book scanner I can provide some stuff.

Ahah, Gent told me that scanners were being made but not by whom.

I don't know what kind of book scanners Liz has, and it is still unclear
where they will go. There are only two.

Gent told me two months ago that you needed two IXUS 160 cameras and a
Kinect power cable. I am bringing four IXUS 160 cameras and (probably)
no Kinect power cables. I ordered Kinect power cables from China, but
they never arrived.

Oh, in case you haven't looked into this already: It seemed to me that
it should be pretty easy to make your own Kinect power cables

Thomas are you coming in Albania? if yes let’s organize a meetup at Open Labs.
