Local elections are scheduled for 22 October.
We could have a proper policy this time that aspiring political parties and candidates can sign up to.
I wonder if there is something we could use from elsewhere.

Free Software Pact is the closest to what I had in mind, we could adopt it to policy areas covered by local administration, which are rather limited, and make it more specific since something broad like that might sound a bit up in the sky http://www.freesoftwarepact.eu/post/The-Free-Software-Pact
