Firefox OS and websites in Albania

Hey all,

Despite the list Hallvord created, does anyone happen to know where we can find a list of top visited websites from Kosovo?

Since Alexa doesn’t have Kosovo listed, he might have just gotten the Albanian websites, so it is good to let him know of Kosovar websites as well!

Oh and by the way, if anyone is interested to help with website compatibility in Firefox OS, please feel free to do so - check out the links in this email!

Cheers,

Subject: Firefox OS and websites in Albania
Dear Mozilla reps in Albania,
nice to meet you, I'm Hallvord, I work in the new site compatibility
team at Mozilla. I'm looking at Firefox OS compatibility issues on a
country-by-country basis.

Today, I created a list [1] of popular websites in Albania (based on
alexa.com <http://alexa.com> 's lists - additions welcome!) and did a
test run of some 90 sites, resulting in 49 comparison screenshots that
need review. I'd like bugs reported for all sites where Firefox OS has a
worse

Thank you for helping.

I checked the screenshots and filed the bugs for all them which seems having issues:

I didn't understand how the screenshots are made, using a real FF OS device or a simulator. So I first would go for trying to access the sites through both my Keon and desktop machine. The fellows in Albania and Kosovo might like to do the same thing with any site, before they contact any of them, or approach them in any other way.

After that's done with the sites I filed the bugs for, or with any other known to have similar issues, I would suggest that Mozilla Albania and Mozilla Kosovo write down a simple notice to state the issue and kindly ask the site to try improving. Then send the notice to all of them at once from Mozilla Albania and Mozilla Kosovo. So the affected sites see that the problem is spread, that Mozilla is serious about it (that's why we're contacting all you) and that the action comes from a community, not just one person. This would help also to avoid individual contacting actions, sometimes counter-productive with media.

I also see the possibility of a mega-bug tracking all those issues, the bugs already opened and the future ones in one unified place, depended from them. "The futures ones" goes on in the future until we have addressed your 90top list of sites.

Best,
Besnik

Thank you for making it clear for the rest of us with no technical
